Donald Huber's passion for beautiful jewelry and design began as a child. Growing up in Florida he was inspired by the sculptural forms of the ocean and the beauty of nature. The movement of the waves, the shapes of shells and leaves and the changing colors of the sky over the ocean deeply influence his jewelry design. At age twelve, a Brazilian stone dealer came to his family's home and showed Donald the gems he had collected from all over of the world. His fate was sealed and his love for gorgeous gemstones began. Donald's appreciation of fine luxuries and brilliant gems led him to New York City. He studied product development at Parsons School of Design where he learned to combine the art of design with production. From there he moved to Seattle to design apparel and accessories for a well known sports apparel company. However, his desire to create exquisite jewelry brought him back to New York where he designed for Van Cleef & Arpels and The Vivid Collection. Today he enjoys the thrill of creating his own jewelry collection. Most days he is busy designing new pieces and running his Manhattan-based company. |
